Wildflower Woods near Bruton Somerset

Come spend an entire day practising in the woods! At this time of Lammas, or early harvest, we will be appreciating all that the land offers, as we listen to the quieting birds, watch the blue green dragonflies zipping over the stream and wander along dappled glades in the deep lush green woods.

Throughout the day, we will be practising sitting, walking and nature meditations related to the theme of ‘Sense Foraging’ in 12 acres of private, secure woodland located near Bruton Somerset. This broad-leaved woodland attracts varied wildlife such as deer, moles, bats, finches, butterflies, kites, pygmy shrews and buzzards. There are two streams, three sitting circles, two firepits, and a meditation hut. Rain is not a problem, as there are two large rain shelters. There is a compost loo.

Nature meditation retreats are suitable for anyone with basic meditation experience. To get there, we arrange lift shares. Please bring your own food and water. A kettle will be available to make hot drinks, if you bring a mug and the beverage of your choice. The contribution is £10 with full and partial bursaries available. Please ask if needed.

Places are limited. To book a place and for further details, contact Lesley at rewildingmeditation@gmail.com
