Nature meditation Sunday 22 January 10am-1pm
Winter is a time of stillness, rest and rejuvenation in the woods. The birds are quiet. The earth is dormant. The trees are fortifying themselves for spring. What better place to practice steadying our minds round the campfire with others?
Our usual sitting and nature meditation practices will take place from 10am-1pm (Note earlier start!). This retreat will take place in private, six-acre woods with two streams, multiple circles for group practice and Victorian bathing pools. Rain is not a problem as many areas are covered by parachutes. There are also pit latrines.
After a brief orientation around the theme, silence starts as we sit for about 40 minutes. We then move into personal practice followed by a guided nature meditation. The session closes with sharing our reflections.
Nature meditation retreats are suitable for anyone with basic meditation experience. The woods are eight miles outside of Bristol near Wraxall. To get there, we arrange lift shares or you can bike along the beautiful cycle path 33. The contribution for woods hire is £7 with full and partial bursaries available. Please ask if needed.
