Gaia House is a silent meditation retreat centre set amongst the gentle hills and quiet woodlands of South Devon offering a year-round programme of weekend and week-long group retreats in the Insight tradition as well as long-term solitary and work retreats.

London Insight Meditation

London Insight offer a programme of events based in the insight meditation tradition. Together with a group of leading teachers we explore the modern application of authentic Buddhist teachings in our lives.

Oxford Insight

Oxford Insight Meditation (formerly known as Oxford Gaia House Meditation Retreats) offers a programme of silent day retreats led by teachers associated with Gaia House, a retreat centre in Devon which offers silent meditation retreats in the Buddhist tradition.

Sheffield Insight Meditation

Sheffield Insight Meditation offer retreats led by teachers associated with Gaia House Retreat Centre in Devon, and regular groups for meditation practice.

Cheltenham Insight
We meet fortnightly on Tuesday evenings and listen to talks (mainly from Gaia House teachers) followed by a 30-minute meditation, with opportunity for discussion and support for those new to vipassana meditation.

Satipanya Buddhist Retreat
A retreat centre in Shropshire which runs retreats devoted to contemplative living and Vipassana meditation in the tradition of the Mahasi Sayadaw of Burma.

Amaravati Buddhist Monastery
Based in Hertfordshire, this a Buddhist monastery of the Theravadan Thai Forest Tradition offering a range of events and retreats.

Anukampa Bhikkhuni Project

Anukampa Bhikkhuni Project was registered as a charity in April 2017. It’s objects are to advance Theravada Buddhism in the UK for the benefit of the public primarily by;

(a) establishing and maintaining a residential centre or centres offering material support for Theravada Buddhist bhikkhunis and women training towards full bhikkhuni ordination;

(b) furthering the education of the public in the teachings and practices of the Buddha by organising educational activities.

The charity is run entirely by a tenacious team of volunteers committed to realising the ambition of establishing a bhikkhuni monastery in the UK and creating a supportive space for Dhamma practice for monastics and laypeople alike.

Sharpham Trust
The Sharpham Trust in South Devon operates both the Sharpham Centre for Contemporary Buddhist Enquiry and the Barn Rural Retreat. It runs a broad range of projects providing a balance of practical activity with spiritual enquiry.

Moulin de Chaves Meditation Centre (formerly Tapovan)
Le Moulin in France hosts a selection of retreats, workshop and courses with resident teacher Martin Aylward and invited teachers in both the Buddhist Insight tradition and in various contemporary approaches to awakening.

Dhamma Dipa
A retreat centre in Herefordshire which runs residential courses throughout the year based on the practice of Vipassana (Insight) meditation as taught by S. N. Goenka.

Insight Meditation Society
The Insight Meditation Society in the USA has over 30 years’ experience of offering retreats in Insight and Loving Kindness meditation. On its website there are online dharma talks, a suggested reading list and a useful glossary of Buddhist terms.

Buddhists across Traditions is UK based Global Majority/BIPOC/BPOC/BAME-centred collective (with white allies and currently white-led organisations) uniting Buddhist and Mindfulness groups in service of racial healing, social equity and justice.

Buddhist Insight Network

An organisation that connects Insight Meditation groups throughout the world. The Buddhist Insight Network also serves as the connecting link for sangha leaders and teachers to learn from and support each other in practicing and sharing the dharma, the teachings of the Buddha.

Sangha live

Sangha Live brings people together on a journey of awakening through online courses and live, weekly sessions anyone can join. Classes are led by world renowned teachers in Insight meditation practice and Buddhist teachings.
