Boundless heart – vulnerable world: dharma practice in the ecological and climate emergency. This day will explore engaging with the noble heart qualities of loving kindness, compassion, joy and equanimity, in relation to our inner and outer spiritual practice, as meditators in a time of intersecting crises.
All levels of meditation experience are welcome.
The day will be held in silence.

Yanai Postelnik first encountered the teachings of the Buddha while travelling in Asia in 1989, and has been teaching Insight Meditation and Buddhist practice internationally for 30 years. Yanai is much inspired by the Thai forest tradition, and the transformative power of the natural world. He is a member of the Gaia House Teacher Council, and a Core Faculty member of Insight Meditation Society, Massachusetts. Since 2018 Yanai has devoted a significant amount of his time to activism and nonviolent civil disobedience, calling for an appropriate response by government, to the climate, ecological and social justice emergency of our time. Having grown up in New Zealand, with parents of European and Asian heritage, Yanai lives with his wife Catherine McGee in Devon, England.

This retreat will be held at Glenfrome Primary School. Cost £15 (waged) and £7.50 (unwaged).
The day will run from 10.00am –5pm. Please arrive as from 9.30am to allow yourself time to settle before
we start at 10am.

The above booking fee covers the admin costs for the day, so dana/donation will be invited for the teacher on the day.
