Paradise Bottom, Leigh Woods
The next Bristol Insight sangha walk will be a walk in Leigh Woods next Sunday 28th June.
Meet at 11am at the main car park – entrance off the A369 (Portishead road) just after the junction with Beggar Bush Lane – next to the arched structure (‘The Gateway’ – see attached map of Leigh Woods). Meet at the bottom end of the car park at the beginning of the path towards Paradise Bottom.
In this circular walk, we will head across to Paradise Bottom where there are pools and an arboretum, and then head down to the River Avon and walk for a bit along the riverside track between Bristol and Pill before heading back up through the woods and back to the car park. The walk is overall quite easy-going, apart from a bit of an incline when heading back up through the woods from the river. It should last 2–3 hours and bring a picnic lunch for a break around half-way.
Family, friends, children and dogs are welcome on the walk, and part of the walk will be in silence. There will be a maximum of 6 people on the walk and we will observe appropriate social distancing. Please don’t come on the walk if you have any Covid-type symptoms or if you have been in contact with anyone who you know to have the virus.
Let me know in advance if you would like to come on the walk.
