Sand Point (photo by Tony Howell)

This is a fairly easy coastal walk of about 5 miles which should take us about 2 hours at a gentle pace.
We will start the walk at the car park at the Sand Bay Kiosk(click for map), from where we will walk inland via Sand Farm and across open countryside, visiting the ruins of the 13thCentury Woodspring Priory before meeting the Bristol Channel at the mouth of the River Banwell. We then head west along the coast towards Sand Point before heading south along the Sand Bay beach and back to the start point.
Friends, family members, children and dogs are welcome on the walk, part of which will be in silence.

Meet at St Andrews Park at 10am(top entrance near the park toilets) to share lifts, or at the Sand Bay Kiosk  car park (map link above) to start the walk at 10.45am. We can have lunch after the walk either at the Sand Bay Tea Rooms (if enough space) or at The New Castle Inn a few minutes drive away. You can bring your own lunch to eat outside as an option.

Let Gordon know in advance of the walk day whether you would like to join the walk and whether you would like or can offer a lift. gordonadam@blueyonder.co.ukor 0779 6087351
